Mika Abdalla and Jake Short have ended their relationship after five years together, according to a representative for Abdalla.
The 26-year-old Off Campus actress and the 29-year-old A.N.T. Farm actor reportedly split roughly one year after confirming their engagement. A representative for Abdalla confirmed the breakup and said the two remain on good terms.
“Due to recent interest in Mika’s personal life, it would feel remiss not to address that she and Jake are no longer together,” the statement said. “They continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.”
Abdalla and Short first met while working on the Hulu film Sex Appeal, which was filmed in 2021 and released in 2022. Their on-screen collaboration later developed into a real-life relationship.

Their engagement was publicly confirmed in May 2025 by Short’s manager, who shared photos from their engagement celebration and praised the couple’s journey from co-stars to partners.
Although the exact timing of their breakup has not been disclosed, some recent social media activity has drawn attention. Short shared a 2025 recap post in early 2026 that included photos of Abdalla, and she interacted with the post in the comments, suggesting the split occurred relatively recently.
Despite the separation, both have continued focusing on their careers. Abdalla recently gained increased attention following the debut of her Prime Video series Off Campus, where she also continues to play a leading role in its upcoming season.
