Zendaya, 29, wore a Matières Fécales gown with angel wings and a feathered train to the New York premiere of The Odyssey, and her makeup was just as memorable. Makeup artist Ernesto Casillas explained on Instagram that he kept the glam intentionally minimal and built it around glowing skin, using only Prada Beauty products.

Get the look for less
You don’t need the whole Prada lineup to get the same effect. The key is prepped, hydrated skin, a thin layer of foundation only where you need it, concealer just under the eyes, and a cream blush blended high on the cheeks. Finish with a tinted balm instead of lipstick.
Our take
Pairing a dramatic winged gown with barely-there makeup was a smart choice. It let the dress be the star and kept Zendaya looking like herself. It’s a good reminder that on a big night, less makeup can have more impact.
