Vogue World: Milan Surprises with Tons of Celebrity Models, Including Cardi B and a Dancing Jennifer Lopez

The fifth annual fashion show put on by Vogue took place on Sept. 22 in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, where Fashion Week is currently being held. This year’s show, which was themed around Italian “handcrafts and innovation,” according to the publication, had stars both filling the front row and walking down the runway, making for an unforgettable event.

Celebrities began rolling down the runway after model Gigi Hadid, in a printed ballgown, opened the show’s first act, “The Artisanal Revolution.” J Balvin appeared wearing a pink printed suit with a metallic sheen and was followed by Kpop Demon Hunters star EJAE walking theatrically in a strapless black and blue ruffled confection.

“The Industrial Revolution” act followed with Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey‘s 18-year-old son Levi showing off his dance moves in a gray suit, as well as actor Sam Claflin. Actress Adria Arjona also stomped the runway, right past boyfriend Jason Momoa sitting front row. Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe’s daughter Ava also walked and later shared a behind-the-scenes Instagram snap alongside model Lux Pascal, sister of actor Pedro Pascal.

In the third act, titled “Made in Italy,” Cardi B turned heads in a spring 2018 Versace dress of what Vogue described as “pop-art renditions of past… covers,” in addition to Tiffany & Co jewelry. The segment, which also featured tennis player Aryna Sabalenka in Gucci and Bridgerton star Simone Ashley, transitioned with Jennifer Lopez performing choreography in a romantic black embellished Dolce & Gabbana 2025 Alta Moda Roma gown, diamond jewelry by the fashion house and slingback stilettos, as also seen in a video shared to Instagram. Also making an appearance during the segment was Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline, who wore a floral dress and blazer.

The fourth act, “The Age of Intelligence,” featured MGK showing off his blackout tattoo in an orange Byblos jumpsuit and Camper shoes (also styled with his blonde hair in a slick-back look) — and dancing robots.

Alicia Keys closed out the show, and her look was a vision. According to Vogue, her ensemble was created by Francesco Risso and Alex Sossah’s Bureau of Imagination using satin, chiffon, georgette and crêpe de Chine sewn together with thread and beads.

“When Alicia Keys was confirmed, we spoke with her before deciding who should design the dress. It had to embody performance, movement, art, and painting,” Luca Galasso, fashion director of the cast and special performers for the event, told the outlet.

As Keys sang Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love,” actress Madelaine Petsch modeled an all-white look, as did models Helen Christensen, Vittoria Ceretti, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, Iris Law and Scarlett White.

Vogue World: Milano is the magazine’s fifth installment of its global production, which started in 2022 in New York City, followed by London, Paris and Los Angeles in the following years. Next year will see the event travel to San Francisco.

“This extraordinary event offers a unique opportunity to celebrate with a global audience the timeless story of Made in Italy, a story of genius and craftsmanship,” Vogue Italia’s head of editorial content, Francesca Ragazzi, said in a statement, per Vogue. “It feels particularly meaningful to do so at this moment in time, in the era of artificial intelligence.”
