The happy news comes at a tumultuous time for Eugenie’s family, following the former Prince Andrew’s arrest in February
Princess Eugenie has announced that she and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are expecting their third child. The news was shared on May 4 through an official palace statement confirming that the baby is due in the summer of 2026. The couple’s two sons, August (5) and Ernest (2), are said to be excited about welcoming a new sibling. King Charles III has been informed and is reportedly delighted.
Eugenie also shared the news on social media, posting a photo of her children holding an ultrasound image along with a caption celebrating the upcoming addition to their family.
The princess, daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, married Brooksbank in October 2018 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The wedding was attended by senior members of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Their first child, August Philip Hawke, was born in February 2021, followed by Ernest George Ronnie in May 2023.
The announcement comes during a challenging period for Eugenie’s family. In late 2025, her parents lost their royal honors and residence amid controversy linked to their alleged associations with Jeffrey Epstein. Prince Andrew has denied any wrongdoing, and no accusations have been made against Ferguson. In early 2026, Andrew was reportedly arrested over allegations tied to misuse of confidential information during his time as a trade envoy. Amid these developments, Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, have reportedly focused on shielding their families from public scrutiny while maintaining their connection to royal life.

Professionally, Eugenie balances royal ties with a career in the arts. She studied at Newcastle University and has worked in the gallery sector for several years. She is also active in charity work, supporting causes related to health, youth, and environmental advocacy.
The couple currently split their time between the United Kingdom and Portugal due to Brooksbank’s business role connected to property developer Mike Meldman, a partner of George Clooney.
Despite recent family difficulties, Eugenie has continued to emphasize her commitment to raising her children with a strong awareness of global issues, particularly environmental responsibility, reflecting values shared within the wider royal family.
