It has been revealed that Nicola Peltz has been ordered to appear in court over the death of her dog Nala, amid the ongoing suspected feud between her and her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, and the rest of his family.
The chihuahua fell ill after a mobile grooming session in New York last year and died after being rushed to an emergency vet.
The actress then went on to file a lawsuit against HoundSpa at the Supreme Court of the State of New York in Westchester County.
Following the death of her beloved pet, Nicola shared an emotional tribute alongside a photo of her and Brooklyn burying the chihuahua.
She wrote: “I am truly still in so much shock and pain over my baby Nala suddenly passing last month following what should have been a routine grooming session.”
“I posted the experience on my Instagram to bring awareness, and was heartbroken to hear the horrifying stories from so many others who have experienced the same tragedy.”
“I can’t bear it. I’m outraged to hear how common stories like Nala’s are.”
She continued: “We need to do better and change the laws to better protect fur babies and the loving owners who care for them. Our pets are our chosen family.”
“I’ve dedicated most of my life to saving dogs and I can’t in good conscious let this horrifying act happen to more families.”
“I will work for changes and laws to help make sure no one else ever has to experience this heartbreak.”
She added: “I will always use my voice to protect our innocent babies. Love, always, Nicola.”
The lawsuit blames dog groomer Jony Ceballos who Nicola has alleged has a history of “intentional and malicious abuse of dogs.”
She further alleged her dog Nala was left injured and in severe physical distress after a grooming appointment in HoundSpa’s mobile van.
The 29-year-old is reportedly taking further legal action against HoundSpa owner Deborah Gittleman for keeping Jony employed – despite reportedly having complaints made about his behaviour towards animals in the past.
Now, according to court documents, a judge has requested Nicola’s presence in court for a deposition before October 30 after the dog groomer denied any wrongdoing.
When Nicola first shared the devastating news, she described the time as being “the hardest month of my life.”
“can’t even find the words to describe my heartbreak on so many levels. Nala was perfectly healthy when she went to the groomers yesterday but came out hyperventilating and couldn’t catch her breath.”
“We rushed her to the vet and she passed hours later. i’m sharing this in hopes that it might prevent this from happening to other dogs.”
“Her life was taken away from her way too soon. She was my beautiful queen and stayed by my side for 9 years through everything.”

The 30-year-old being called to court comes after a new report revealed that she treated Romeo Beckham’s girlfriend “appallingly” in the past which led to a feud between the brothers.
It recent weeks, many reports have placed blame on Romeo’s current girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, for the issues between the Beckham brothers.
However, a source has now revealed that Nicola’s behaviour towards Romeo’s then-girlfriend, Mia Regan, was “absolutely baffling.”
Mia is British model and content creator, who dated Romeo for five years.
Nicola is said to have supposedly blanked her in the run-up to her wedding, despite Mia and Romeo having dated for three years at the time.
“Brooklyn and Romeo have been fighting for a significant amount of time,” an insider told around the time.
“They do not get on. It has been so difficult for David and Victoria.”
They went on to state that the two brothers were “once inseparable” and both doted on their two youngest siblings, Cruz (20) and Harper Seven (13).
This newest revelation comes after Romeo shared a cryptic post amid the ongoing suspected family feud with his older brother.
News broke last month that Brooklyn is not on speaking terms with Romeo, allegedly over the latter’s relationship with Kim.
Although it is understood that Brooklyn and Kim did have a romantic relationship in the past, “that’s all water under the bridge.”
According to a recent report, Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz were denied a “private reunion” with David Beckham before his recent 50th birthday celebrations.
A source close to the family told that Brooklyn and Nicola flew to London last week with the sole intention of seeing the football star for his birthday.
They also said that the pair reached out to the family before the party, asking them to meet up privately before the celebrations, but this didn’t go to plan.
The source stated that the young couple were told to show up at the party at the Core restaurant in Notting Hill in London, or they wouldn’t get a chance to see David or the rest of the Beckham clan at all.
Fans first speculated that the pair had a falling out after Romeo posted an Instagram story celebrating his father’s 50th birthday.
The 22-year-old mentioned and tagged everyone in the photo, but Brooklyn and wife Nicola were nowhere to be seen.
Following this, David posted photos from the celebration, captioning the post: “So I thought I’d start celebrating slightly early , such a special night in Miami 🩷 So lucky to have amazing friends and family to start the 50th celebrations with 🩷 Love you @victoriabeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven 🩷.”
However, many fans noticed there was no mention of Brooklyn, with one commenting: “Where is Brooklyn? And you didn’t mention his name in the hashtags below, strange… 🤨🤔”
Another user questioned: “and Brooklyn & Nicola?”
In March, Brooklyn and Nicola were no-shows at Victoria Beckham’s Paris fashion show – while Romeo and his girlfriend Kim were in attendance.
Now, Victoria is reportedly experiencing her “worst nightmare” amid the suspected feud between her sons.
It’s understood that the designer is at the centre of the familial conflict, with her eldest son and his wife on one side and the rest of the family on the other.
A source close to the Beckham clan shared: “This is Victoria’s worst nightmare. The thought of any of her children falling out gives her sleepless nights.”
“It’s been difficult with Brooklyn since he met Nicola, and there’s no denying that there was a family fall-out over their wedding.”
“But Victoria and David [Beckham] have worked hard to get things back on track, so this is a real blow.”
