Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have both arrived separately for court.
The It Ends with Us court case is moving forward today, Wednesday (February 11), and the pair will be face-to-face in a New York City courtroom.
Blake arrived first, with Justin and his wife Emily arriving later.
This is the first time they will be in court together, and it’s for a court-ordered settlement conference. It is an attempt to get them to enter a settlement ahead of their planned May 18 trial. Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave will be leading the discussions to attempt to reach an agreement.
“This is a really critical leverage point,” NBC News legal analyst Misty Marris explained. “A lot of what the judge will point to in this particular case is the public spectacle of it all.”
If you don’t know, the 41-year-old director’s $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Blake, his co-star on the infamous film, was ended last year. Previously, the case was dismissed by the judge.
Blake‘s lawsuit alleging sexual harassment and retaliation against Justin remains active.
