The singer and actress discussed her upcoming nuptials on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Tuesday, Sept. 9
Selena Gomez is spilling some wedding details!
On Tuesday, Sept. 9, the singer and actress, 33, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she opened up about who will be the ring bearer at her and fiancé Benny Blanco’s nuptials.
“It’s wonderful, I’m very lucky,” she said of wedding planning as she sat next to her Only Murders in the Building costars Martin Short and Steve Martin. “It’s going well, I’m so excited.”
Asked if Short, 75, and Martin, 80, were invited to the wedding, the Rare Beauty founder replied, “Course they are, Marty’s the ring bearer.”
Comedian and actor Short then jokingly acted out how he would present the ring on the day by getting on one knee and raising one hand in the air.
“Here’s your ring, Selena,” he said with in a Golem-style voice like the Lord of the Rings character. “Take it.”

“We are all so excited because we love this lady and we love her fiancé, Bad Bunny,” Short jokingly continued as the crowd laughed.
Displaying a firm, straight face, Gomez yelled, “Benny Blanco.”
“That’s two different people?” Martin asked, to which Short replied, “Yeah completely, kind of the same.”
The news of Short being the ring bearer comes after he gushed about the upcoming nuptials on the Sept. 9 episode of the Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast.

“I just adore her. I’m so happy that she’s getting married to this fabulous guy, Benny Blanco, who’s just one of the great, cool guys and funny and loose, and she adores him,” he told host Amy Poehler.
Short added, “I’m just thrilled for her happiness, and I’m thrilled to get to work with her.”

And Short might not be the only familiar face with duties at the wedding.
After the couple announced their engagement in an Instagram post last December, Gomez’s best friend Taylor Swift commented, “Yes I will be the flower girl.”
Ed Sheeran also revealed in May during Vanity Fair‘s “Lie Detector Test” that he had already been invited to the big day.
Meanwhile, in August, Gomez’s former Wizards of Waverly Place and current Wizards Beyond Waverly Place costar David Henrie told Parade that he would be “100%” attending the wedding, while Nicky Hilton revealed at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 7 that her sister, Paris Hilton, will also be a guest.
Gomez and Blanco first began dating went public with their romance in December 2023. The pair had met years prior and collaborated on their 2019 song, “I Can’t Get Enough,” before their relationship turned romantic.
They celebrated their bachelorette and bachelor parties last month, with Gomez taking a trip to Cabo.
