Charli XCX, Raye and Dua Lipa are among the stars up for nominations at this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs). Hosting the star-studded event at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena on Sunday night (10 November) is none other than Rita Ora, with performances expected to light up the stage from Raye, Shawn Mendes, Teddy Swims, and Benson Boone.
US pop queen Taylor Swift leads the nominations with seven nods, including best artist and best live, while British star Charli XCX is hot on her heels with five nominations, inspired by her album that sparked this year’s Brat summer trend. Other nominees include pop sensation Dua Lipa, British rapper Central Cee and Oasis legend Liam Gallagher, who’s up against Coldplay, Bon Jovi and Lenny Kravitz for the best rock act gong.
Fontaines DC, Yungblud and Hozier are all hoping to bag the best alternative award, while Calvin Harris and Fred Again are among those nominated for best electronic. Celebrities including Neneh Cherry and Mabel, Gavin Rossdale, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Turner-Smith and Lucien Laviscount will be presenting awards.
As A-listers walk the red carpet, let’s take a look at some of the best looks and absolute fashion icons…

Rita Ora is on hosting duties for this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs). The ceremony is taking place for the first time since 2022 after last year’s event was cancelled due to the “volatility of world events” following the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war.

Former soap star Gemma Atkinson graced the red carpet in a plunging black bodycon dress with a long jacket draped halfway down her arms. She completed the chic look with black gloves, point heels and her blonde locks styled in a sophisticated updo.

Charlotte Crosby showed off her blossoming bump in a tight, long-sleeved black dress while her brunette locks were styled down in loose waves.

Jedward, also known as Edward Grimes and John Grimes, brought the wow factor as they donned silver metallic and printed suits – complete with sparkly shoes and a showstopping necklace.
