Country singer Alexandra Kay addresses romance rumors between Keith Urban and his guitarist Maggie Poe.
The artist confirmed to Taste of Country that Poe “had absolutely nothing to do with it” with Urban.
In a new interview published Wednesday, October 22, Kay said there is nothing between Maggie Poe, 25, and Keith Urban, 57.
She added, “Honestly, I feel sad for them, because the media pressure is crazy, and the things people say are hurtful… They’re making up rumors about Maggie Poe, who’s a close friend of mine, and I know it’s not true.”
She continued, “I met her boyfriend, and she’s very happy in her relationship, and she had nothing to do with that story with Urban.”

Kay added, “I feel sad for everyone because people are poking around and looking into their personal lives. I pray that they all have peace and privacy.”
Rumors of a romantic relationship between Beau and Urban began after the country star announced his separation from his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, after 19 years of marriage.
It was later revealed that Kidman, 58, filed for divorce on September 30, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Following the news of the divorce, a clip surfaced of Urban on stage altering the lyrics to his song “The Fighter,” a song inspired by Kidman.
While the original lyrics read, “When they try to get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter,” Urban changed the phrase to, “When they try to get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”
Beau posted the video on September 26, captioning it, “Did he just say my name? 👀”

However, Urban had previously altered the lyrics to the same song during his performance with Carrie Underwood at the 2017 CMT Awards, when he said, “Carrie Underwood, I’ll be your fighter!”
For now, Urban is urging fans to stop interpreting these changes too far.
During his concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on October 17, in a clip shared by a fan on TikTok, he said, “I’ve been changing this way for so long, stop reading any hidden meanings into it. The name of the song is ‘You’ll Think of Me.'”
